Fairy Lake Quilt Designs is the new home for Fun & Done! Quilting and the Batting Buddy. How did this come about? About 2012 I discovered this delightful quilt-as-you-go technique. I was hooked with the very first quilt that I made. In 2014 I started working in a quilt shop. I loved it. While there, I had the great opportunity to teach Fun & Done! Quilting to others. My students love the technique as much as I do.
In July of 2018 I discovered that the owner of Fun & Done! Quilting was retiring. I couldn’t stand the idea of my favorite quilting technique disappearing, so what would any crazy quilting fanatic do? I offered to buy the rights to her products. Thus, Fairy Lake Quilt Designs was born In October 2018.
Where did the name for my company come from? I live in beautiful Montana, on the foothills of the Bridger Mountains. Nestled in those mountains is Fairy Lake. Growing up, we spent winters hunting Christmas trees there. In the summer there was always hiking and camping. It is one of my favorite places. When I am quilting I feel at peace with the world. Don't you? Fairy Lake is a peaceful place. I decided it would be the perfect name.
